This is a museum quality replica by Janet Conner of an Indé (Jicarilla Apache) shirt as seen in the reference book Beauty, Honor and Tradition: The Legacy of Plains Indian Shirts by Joseph D. Horse Capture and George P. Horse Capture.  It features hand beaded brain-tanned Elk leather.

Although listed in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian's records as being of Jicarilla Apache origin, the design of this shirt may be Ute due to the modified lazy stitch incorporated into its construction.
